dipinanto Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 how to copy two different drawings into a single consecutive one, and how to keep the same coordinate system into the drawing Quote
ReMark Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 You could start a new drawing an xref in each of the two existing drawings. I think we need more details though. Quote
RobDraw Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Copy with basepoint and/or paste to original coodinates. Insert each as a block and explode if desired. XREFs are good if the information will be used in more than one file. Quote
f700es Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 +1 to Rob. An easy solution that I use a bit. Quote

Squirltech Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 I agree, I usually use 0,0 as my Basepoint, especially if I am using Viewports. Maybe it's my OCD but I personally use 0,0,0 (three zeros). Years ago I was burnt by a block that was placed at 0,0 and the elevation became an issue. Just my $.02. Quote

In a 2D environment it is understood and not necessary, any Z value is more than likely to do with errant objects than it does with the coordinate system. Quote
