Stanier Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 Hi - I have just acquired a 16:9 wide screen monitor which is excellent for playing video clips but when used to display my Autocad drawings results in an elongated display, turning circles into ellipses etc. Can anyone please advise me on how I can restore the normal aspect ratio when displaying drawingss- Regards Quote
Tyke Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 Sounds like you need to check the monitor's resolution. Make sure its set to the manufacturer's recommended resolution. Quote
BIGAL Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 (edited) Its very old advice but pretty sure you can alter the aspect to make circles round etc Will need to Google. Did a google and the adjust is no longer available, went out years ago. Edited October 13, 2015 by BIGAL Quote
f700es Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 Sounds like an issue with your display adapter (video card). Quote
Patrick Hughes Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 Turn your monitor until the circles appear correctly. (sorry, I couldn't resist) Quote
Patrick Hughes Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 Actually, your monitor should have controls that allow you to adjust the aspect ratio. Try some of the buttons along the side or bottom of the monitor. Otherwise the video driver software may have adjustments - what card do you have? Quote
