ColinPearson Posted December 16, 2015 Posted December 16, 2015 Hello world. I've looked through these forums and Googled and can't quite make this drawing plot correctly. Something to do with the Visual Style I guess but I'm not quite getting it. I detached the xref that I'm trying to make notations on top of to keep the file size down, but I want that dwg to plot with Realistic style so I can see it nicely in 3D and then I'll just have text, dimensions etc show up in solid White (black) on top. Whenever I try to plot, the two white (Phantom linetype) arcs print grey (Color 8 or 9 I think). The arcs themselves live in Model Space, with color Bylayer on a white colored layer but I am plotting from my Layout. I have Model Space set to Visual Style=Wireframe, and in Layout, I have the Visual Style and Shade Plot of the Viewport set to Realistic. The Layout itself has visual Style= 2D Wireframe but that's greyed out and I can't seem to change it. I've tried every which combination I can think of and can't get BOTH a Realistic shading on the underlying xref from Model Space AND solid White (black) arcs. I've attached the file and a couple screen shots, thanks in advance!!! Drawing: 21818PSR-000.dwg Quote
TheCADnoob Posted December 16, 2015 Posted December 16, 2015 I would be tempted to create another viewport with only the arc in it (freeze modle in that overide) an put it on top of the realistic and you can make that one wire frame Quote
ColinPearson Posted December 17, 2015 Author Posted December 17, 2015 Good idea, worked perfect! Quote
