logahoms1 Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 (edited) Hello, I am in the process of modeling a part with specific geometry that can not be altered. However, when I go through, copy to construction, stitch the model, and copy to surface again - then try thicken. An error code stating intersecting geometry - and that it can not complete task. Is there a way around this? as changing the model is not an option. Thanks. Edited December 17, 2015 by logahoms1 Quote
Cad64 Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 You have posted in the Autocad section but it appears that this is a Solidworks question? Quote
logahoms1 Posted December 17, 2015 Author Posted December 17, 2015 It wouldn't let me upload the AutoCAD inventor part due to size restrictions at 1.12 MB. So I uploaded the file that it would allow - which was the original surface. I am trying to thicken the surface in inventor after I imported it and "Saved As" to make an inventor part file. Quote
Cad64 Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 So this is an Inventor question then? It is important to post questions in the correct area of the forum relating to the software you are using. If this is an Inventor question, let me know and I will move it to the Inventor section. Quote
