RLH Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 I'm fairly new to Inventor (2016 version) I'm trying to create parts from a part - in this case it's a 10mm combination spanner, that I'm trying to make a set of spanners from. I've completed the drawing and started the next size spanner (11mm) but there's problems I think with my formula's which means I can't progress. I'm sure it'll be simple for someone who's up to speed but I'm stuck-help! Quote
spiderdian Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 hello, can you make a screenshot of your formula, if you can't elaborate? Quote
RLH Posted December 29, 2015 Author Posted December 29, 2015 Thanks for replying, I've tried to attach the print screen of the i part table and the drawing of the part but no luck. My email is rlh59@btinternet.com - could we communicate that way? Quote
jbaum Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Or, Create a link to 360 and upload the files there. Then we can take a look at it. Quote
RLH Posted January 1, 2016 Author Posted January 1, 2016 Hello, I'm trying to set up 360 at present but I'll not be able to complete that until I get back to work next week. What I've done is used power point slides but the four images (2 of the table, one of the part and the other of the main sketch) won't fit -they're over 500kb-so I'll send 4 messages, each with an image. I'm fairly certain that my initial problem is the sketching and constraining, hopefully you'll be able to help. Thanks Spanner Help Presentation1.pptx Quote

RLH Posted January 1, 2016 Author Posted January 1, 2016 Unfortunately the 3D image of the spanner and the sketch are too big (700+ kb)-so I can't send them, so there are only two images (both of the table) I can understand for safety/security reasons not wanting to use email but I think it's probably the most efficient method? Thanks anyway. Quote
