New 016 Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Can anyone explain why in AutoCAD all text fails to show on opening file? You can see via properties dialog box what should be there, but nothing appears on screen. It is not to do with options>display tab>display performance ticked box for box only in place of text. We did not even get a box. Problem now righted itself, but wasted time while evident. This has happened once before with 2014 but never on previous versions. Quote
New 016 Posted January 25, 2016 Author Posted January 25, 2016 You could say Yes, as only one file was open at time. We did have a hiccup on our SPLM on-line server for a whole range of applications, inc AutoCAD, CADWorx & Inventor. Using AutoCAD at time my PC started to play up, but reached save & E-mail to client before being aware of fault. My link to CADWorx licence still down, but AutoCAD OK & file now shows all text. Quote
ReMark Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Was an error message displayed? Maybe there was a temporary problem with the path to the font folder. Quote
New 016 Posted January 26, 2016 Author Posted January 26, 2016 You may be right. Strange things happened while on-line licence was interrupted, but managed to save & E-mail to recipient. Next day opening file from E-mail folder - No TEXT anywhere? Thanks for reply Quote
ReMark Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 You may want to get your IT department involved in troubleshooting the problem as it is affecting your productivity. Quote
