ReMark Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 thanhan1983: Welcome to CADTutor. I'm going to suggest that you post your question anew as tacking it onto the end of another thread is not recommended. As a new question it will be seen by more members and you'll have a better chance of receiving responses. Follow me? Quote

ReMark Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 thanhan: Take a look in AutoCAD Help. On the Index tab, where it says "Type in the keyword to find" enter the following: equations, in fields Double-click to open. In the area to the right it should say Field Dialog Box. Start reading. Quote
ReMark Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 One other thought comes to mind. Also look at formulas in AutoCAD Help. Quote
fuccaro Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 If you wish just a numerical result, the Fields could be what you are after. For repetitive tasks have a look in the quick calculator, where you can define User defined functions. Also for even more complicated things you have the AutoLisp, the Visual Lisp and the Visual Basic for Applications to write your own routines in order to calculate results and to use them to draw or modify something on the screen. Finally it worth to mention that calculations can be performed in Excel and results imported in AutoCAD. All it depends on what you wish to do and how much effort you intend to invest. Quote
ReMark Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 What is it that you are trying to accomplish? What type of equation are we talking about? Quote
dbroada Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 I read this thinking the OP wanted to type in a formula just like you would in word, that is without any evaluation. Until he posts again we can only guess.... Quote
thanhan1983 Posted January 5, 2009 Author Posted January 5, 2009 Thanks a lot to everybody. I'm appropriate for yours help. But I need a formula just like in MS Word without any evaluation, for exemple: radical sign, function... I tryed to use Autocad Help, but that is too much results, i dont know how to select what I need. If anybody meet with this problem, please help me. Thanks a million ! Quote
fuccaro Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 The Mtext has very limited functionality in this dirrection. You can stack numbers, superscript, change fonts and dimensions for all the characters, insert greek and other symbols... did I left out anything? Other than that, you can draw symbols for square root and other complicated symbols. You can convert those drawed symbols to blocks and you can add dynamic functionality to them. Do you really wish to use AutoCAD for that? Quote
thanhan1983 Posted January 6, 2009 Author Posted January 6, 2009 Thanks for your information, I created block and attribute to solve this problem. However, this is only use on some cases. I want to use all of function of Mtext. But as Fuccaro said : "The Mtext has very limited functionality in this dirrection", maybe i will find other dirrection to solve them. Thanks a lot, my friend.
