castagnaccio Posted March 4, 2016 Posted March 4, 2016 Hi everyone, i have a ".dxf" file (I also tried to do the same operation on a .dwg file but there is no differnce..) that contains a bunch of polylines in a 3D space (these polylines are contour lines of a surface that I created with another software...) These polylines are placed in a specific place of the space (georefereced..) but I need to MOVE them near the orgin of the 3 axes (0,0,0). I uploaded an example of the file that I need to modify. ---> catu.dxf I do the following steps: - select every polyline with the mouse cursor - clic on the "move" icon - I type the base point: "714000,98000", and press enter - I type the second point "0,0", and press enter (the z value has to be the same after the repositioning) But the polyline stay at the same spot. Can anyone please explain me why I can't move these polylines? Thank you in advance Quote
rkent Posted March 4, 2016 Posted March 4, 2016 Change DYNPICOORDS to 1, or when typing in the 0,0 use #0,0. Quote
castagnaccio Posted March 4, 2016 Author Posted March 4, 2016 Thank you RKENT for the hints, they worked I checked for DYNPICOORDS, and the value 1 means that the coordinates that I type will be absolute. That's strange.. I never had this problem... But good to know it Many thanks again Quote
BIGAL Posted March 4, 2016 Posted March 4, 2016 If moving and have Z then 714000,98000,0 0,0,0 takes into account Z Quote
castagnaccio Posted March 5, 2016 Author Posted March 5, 2016 yep, sure but I also saw that if I don't type any z value at all, autocad just desn't consider that axis and doesn't modify that value. Quote
