This one should be quick and easy. (OK if it were easy I'd have it done) It's been so long since I've needed to do this that I've forgotten what I need to do. When adding a view port in paper space and after setting the scale for the window I double click to open it and the drawing does a zoom all, how do I get it to stop that?

If I lock the display I can't pan in the view port. I need to view different portions on different layout pages.

Once I have a viewport scale set, I lock it. If I need to adjust the view at all, I stretch the viewport. That way there is no risk of an accidental zoom altering the scale.

As to the zoom extents when activating the viewport, I seem to recall that having something to do with UCSFOLLOW.

UCSFOLLOW was it. It was set to one, I reset it to zero and things stay where they are. Thanks

Good, now start locking those viewports.
