fozzie1999 Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Is there a procedure to turn off the Multiline Text Box ruler?? I would prefer to have my text box without the ruler and tab options... Thanks, Stephen Quote
fozzie1999 Posted January 5, 2009 Author Posted January 5, 2009 No it is not really a major issue!!! It is more of a personal preference issue....I have come across the text box set-up without the rulers & tabs, I have copied and pasted that set-up and I enjoy using that format... I am just wondering how to eliminate the rulers and tabs so I can set it up for myself when I do my defaults on a new template... Thanks, Stephen Quote
smorales02 Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 I am not aware of any variable that would control this, though I just did notice that on my system it shows the ruler sometimes and sometimes it doesn't...I will look into a little more when I have some time.. Im sure others will come along with a answer Quote
MaxwellEdison Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Been a little while since I used 2005, but if you right click the text window or left click the small downward pointing arrow on the text Formatting Toolbar there should be options for the ruler under editor settings. You can also turn the toolbar off altogether. Quote
fozzie1999 Posted January 5, 2009 Author Posted January 5, 2009 I don't know if it is a option in version 2005 because when I right click the text-box window I do not have listed "editor settings" and the only "down" arrows I have in the text formatting Toolbar is the Text Style, Font, Height, & Text Color, nothing that directs me to the editor settings.. I guess I'm not sure if I can do it in this version.... Thanks, Stephen Quote
profcad Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 I don't find any way to turn it off like you can in the newer versions. Quote
MaxwellEdison Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 The arrow for the options is the circle on the upper right. Also, to the left of "OK" is a button which toggles the ruler directly. So you have neither of these? if not have you checked Format->Options ? Quote
BenE Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 I'm not really sure why this happens, but I am able to turn the multiline text ruler on and off within the multiline "Edit Attribute Definition" "Edit Text" box. There is a ruler button to toggle. This affects the regular multiline text ruler, although there is no button. I'm using Civil3D 2008 Quote
profcad Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Fozzie1999 is using AutoCAD 2005. It does not have all the bells and whistles like AutoCAD 2008 & 2009. Quote
fozzie1999 Posted January 6, 2009 Author Posted January 6, 2009 Just a word of thanks for all of the effort and pinpoint responses!!!! Take Care Guys!! Stephen Quote
