KimbleC Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Happy New Year people I have a perplexing problem. When I insert a block or open a drawing, browse for the file, I like to have the dialog box to fill the screen so that I am able to see as many as possible of these. That's OK, but the next time, AutoCAD does not remember that I have changed the dialog box size. I have just received a new machine with XP SP3 and still using AutoCAD 2008 SP1. My old machine used XP SP2. Quote
KimbleC Posted February 3, 2009 Author Posted February 3, 2009 I have been deleted....well my Windows profile was deleted and recreated. This still did not correct the problem. I thought that I would have a play with the resolution and position of my two monitors. What I had before was the small monitor as No1 and the large one as No2. Swapped these two around and managed to relocate the Windows Taskbar to the smaller monitor No2. Now I have what I wanted. AutoCAD operating on the large monitor with everything on the smaller monitor. Whenever I open or insert etc the File Selection Dialog Box pops up on the large monitor at my preferred size on top of AutoCAD. Thanks to all who helped. Quote
