StArchitect Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 Hi, Is there a fast way to trace an image? I usually use SPLINE to trace but I was wondering if there is a faster way. Quote
ReMark Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 I tend to use polylines. Not that it is any faster but I find editing them to be easier. You might find SKETCH faster but I wouldn't recommend it. Quote
Dadgad Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 I agree with ReMark, I always use Polylines, but that is not to say there are not situations where a spline would work better. Typically I might be tracing a PDF of structural geometry, if I were tracing an organic shape I might use a spline. You are aware of the PDFOSNAP & UOSNAP system variables? Quote
StArchitect Posted April 25, 2016 Author Posted April 25, 2016 Thanks for your profundity Dadgad. Will PDFSNAP work if I convert my JPEG into a PDF? Quote
StArchitect Posted April 25, 2016 Author Posted April 25, 2016 PDFSNAP does not work on a PDF of a JPEG. Quote
SLW210 Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 Just Vector PDFs. Have you looked into AutoCAD® Raster Design Quote
