Is there any way to disable screen updating whilst a lisp routine is running (similar to Excel VBA)? Excel uses this...

Application.ScreenUpdating = False

In Excel this not only stops that annoying screen flicker but also seems to run faster too.

I have about 20 layouts in one drawing and I am zooming each layout to 95% when I am running my routine it will cause it to jump from one layout to the other. I want to stop these flickers/jumps and just know when the routine has completed.
