chubarka Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 If someone here would tell me why I do not have the option for a Blind cut extrude, but rather only Through All in Solidworks version 2013, life would be good. thank you, Chubarka Quote
shift1313 Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Can you click on the drop down next to through all? Also you have a direction 2 extrude, does that one show blind? Quote
chubarka Posted June 10, 2016 Author Posted June 10, 2016 Matt, The drop-down arrow yields the words "Through All" twice, and the Direction 2 section is of no help. The extrusion is .5" in thickness, so Thin Feature wouldn't apply, I wouldn't think. I had no choice but to re-do it in good old reliable version 2007. Chubarka Quote
shift1313 Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Deselect the direction 2 checkbox. Through all can "lock" these things from time to time. If you accidentally grabbed "through all both" it would automatically select direction 2 for you. Next I would just delete the feature and try again. I haven't seen a situation where blind wasn't there. Quote
ILoveMadoka Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 It is because your sketch is open. An open sketch will only give you a Through All option. What are you trying to here...? There might be another method to use. Quote
