Attila The Gel Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 Hey guys, I would like to strikethrough a part of a text in autocad "... Anolytical Lab ...". Double or single doesn’t matter. How do I do this? I tried copy/cut and past from word but that didn’t work. Autocad puts the strikethrough above the text. I would prefere this in the text and don’t want to manually put the strike over the text with just a line. Its just not good enough! I tried searching the forum but no success! Still think someone else must have asked this before. thx. Update: it seems that the strikethroug doesn't work here either. It showed when I wrote the text in word and pasted it on the new post here. ReMark Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 There is no automatic way to do this in AutoCAD at this time. It's a feature that also did not make the top ten AutoCAD Wish List voting conducted by AUGI. It came in number... 54. Formatting Option for Strike Through Text Strike Through Text option in MTEXT Submitted By: Donald Ellis This was taken from the February 2008 Wish List voting results. Quote
totzky Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 How about a leader line with none as arrowhead and settings manipulated to look like a text is strikethroughed? Quote
Attila The Gel Posted January 7, 2009 Author Posted January 7, 2009 Thx, at this time there's no other way but to do it manually then! how about auto-cad 2009 ReMark I see you are using 2009 so can it be done on it? Quote
ReMark Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 I tried using MText and single line text. No joy with either. Sorry. Quote
ReMark Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 Read all the way through this thread. One of the threads talks about external and internal editors and an anomly that presents itself as a strikethru. http://discussion.autodesk.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=2065 Quote

ReMark Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 You're entirely welcomed ATG. Too bad I couldn't find a solution to your problem. I'll keep thinking on it though. I wished for spring to arrive 8 weeks earlier so I can start riding my motorcycle again. Right now it is snow, sleet, freezing rain and rain predicted for today. Bah, humbug and yuck! Quote

RIFFLEMJ Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 While looking for this problem, I came upon this thread. I tried doing an line of Underscore above the text I want to strikethrough. It would look like this: ________ My Text Then go to line spacing: more... Paragraph Line Spacing: Exactly: 1.25" you will have to mess around with the "Exactly" dimension to fit you line in your text where you like it and it obviously depends on your text height. Not sure if the timelapse matters at this point to you, but I thought I would pass this along... Quote
