Faster way to edit text?

Does anyone have a faster way to enter TEXTEDIT or MTEXTEDIT besides double clicking on the item? I'm thinking like CTRL+ENTER or something that works on both. CTRL+SPACE might be better since that can be done with only the left hand.

You can certainly double click using your mouse with only one hand, whichever one you might favor.

Assuming it is not an uncommonly large mouse, or should I say rat? :huh:

 

Or perhaps you would enjoy using this gem from Lee Mac? Added functionality, less clicking.
