lotemsegal Posted August 22, 2016 Posted August 22, 2016 Hello, i draw contour lines over a big area of planing. i draw them every 1 meter and gave them an elevation in their properties. now i want to draw lines every 20 cm. can i do that automaticly with some kind of interpolation command? Quote
halam Posted August 22, 2016 Posted August 22, 2016 You would have to use the DTM terrain data to start with. A Method to use interpolation does not give real correct (extra) information. I would advise working with civil3d. Or otherwise look for triangulation tools in lisp, there a a few around.. Quote
lotemsegal Posted August 22, 2016 Author Posted August 22, 2016 thank you, Can you refer me to those lisp or to the method of working in Civil? i have no idea how to start.. Quote
halam Posted August 22, 2016 Posted August 22, 2016 Google "creating contour lines using civil3d" and theswamp.org " triangulate / "contours" i am using a mobile phone right now.. Can't give you the right links in a click ;-) Quote
tombu Posted August 22, 2016 Posted August 22, 2016 thank you,Can you refer me to those lisp or to the method of working in Civil? i have no idea how to start.. In Civil contours are a way of displaying a surface defined in a Surface Style on Contours tab → Contour Intervals. Once defined in Toolspace → Settings → Surface → Surface Styles you simply switch Surface Styles in Prospector for your surface to one that displays lines every 20 cm. Quote
BIGAL Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 Q1 do you have CIV3D ? If yes use "create surface from drawing objects" "lines" just explode your contours if they are plines. Like tombu you then use a Contour "Style" for display. Q2 I take the answer to Q1 was No, search here for Triangulation there are a number of programs available that work in plain Autocad. Its either YZ or YMG who posted. Quote
