manmngo Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 Hello Cad users, I have *.dgn [microstation] drawings. I converted them to Cad & modified, plot & submitted to my client [in a nut shell]. Problem started about 3-4 weeks ago. We have one PC with AutoCAD loaded (btw my CAD is 2007). We have several amatuers, including myself, who can mess around with this AutoCad. When we export .dgn drawing to .dwg drawing, under the "model" tab, the picture tilts at an angel and under the "plot model" tab, the the picture looks correct (not tilted). It always been this way, we just rotate the model to straighten it out then work with it. And of course, when we rotate the model, the plot model is tilted at an angle. After we're done, we create a new "Layout" tab to plot the drawing. Problem: Now everytime when we export .dgn to .dwg, under the "model" tab, the picture look straight but the "Cordinate" (X&Y) is tilted at an angle. We use UCS command to straighten it out. But when we insert the "layout" tab to plot, the picture is tilted at an angle! We can not make the "Model" & the "Layout" to be the same anymore - I'm I make any sence? - need help. Mann Quote
ReMark Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 Welcome to the CADTutor forum manmngo. If I might be as bold as to suggest that you reconsider posting your email address and phone number. It's really to your benefit to share this information only with those necessary and not put it on display for all to see and spybots to collect. I am not a Microstation user so I will have to defer to someone with more knowledge than I. I'm sure someone else will come along and assist you. I wish you success in solving your problem. Again, welcome. Quote
