copy/cut geometry to new sketch?

I made a sketch of two features that I am trying to add to my main 3D object. It's two bosses, so two circles on the same side of the object. I extruded one of them and it consumed all of my sketch geometry (i.e., both of the two circles). If I had a complicated sketch, I think I would want to undo and first copy all the geometry that wasn't directly associated with the first extrusion and move it to a new sketch so that when I make Extrusion1 the rest of the geometry isn't consumed. Can I do this? Thanks!

It's been awhile since i've used inventor but i remember something like this happening with 3d sketches. You should be able to share the sketch by right clicking on it and selecting "visibility". There might also be an option in there when selecting the sketch called "Share". Sorry its been awhile since i've used inventor but hopefully that helps.

fyi, i think you can change the default options not to consume the sketches.
