UCS switching in stretch command

I have a having some trouble with stetching things.

In a custum UCS it flips back to WCS. Very hard to stretch, pita.

Is there some kind of setting i wasn't aware of untill today?

Old-ish thread now, but I believe what you're experiencing is the UCS aligning with the element you are trying to stretch, which may or may not be WCS. If it is a polyline you're stretching, you can only stretch in the 2D XY plane of the polyline.
