Chilidawg Posted December 1, 2016 Posted December 1, 2016 We finally upgraded to 2017. before that, I had 2012 on my main box, with 2014 available at another work station. Still trying get some of the bells and whistles the way I like them. I have a couple of questions. 1) In 2017, the External References manager always shows the status of data links as "Needs reloading." updating the link doesn't change that. Is this a bug or a feature? it all seems to work OK, so it's little more than an aesthetic annoyance, I guess. 2) The appearance of the bottom layout tab bar and status bar changes depending on whether I am in model space, or paper space. I like the full layout tab bar that I get when I am in model space. is it possible to lock that down so that the layout tabs stay on one bar, and the status bar is below it? Thanks --Dawg Quote
RobDraw Posted December 1, 2016 Posted December 1, 2016 1) Not a bug. Sounds like a timestamp thing. Try resaving the links and reload again. 2) Pics? Quote
halam Posted December 1, 2016 Posted December 1, 2016 1) probably a bug. I prefer using the classics command. Same bugs there? 2) don't know .. search setvars? I really like 2017 because it is so much faster with visuals styles,..if you work 3D . Good luck. Quote
rkent Posted December 1, 2016 Posted December 1, 2016 #2 - The icons shown are relevant to each space, certain ones that show in MS would make no sense in PS. I too would prefer it to stay steady, but I also wanted the choice between icons and the letters like we had a few releases ago. I still haven't memorized what those cryptic little icons mean, they are inconsistent in design, hard to tell when some of them are on or off. Quote
