Open and Save asks me to enter file name on cammand line

I am using AutoCad 2005. It was working fine this morning. Then I imported an IGES file using the 'IGESIN' command. Shortly after, I experienced a problem. When I went to open a file no explorer window came up to search for the file. Instead it asked me to enter the file name on the command line. It does the same for saving a file as well. I have tried to reboot my computer and change my AUTOCAD profile, but neither worked. Does anyone have an idea of what the issue is? Any help would be gretaly appreciated.

*mutters incoherently, the word "search" barely audible*

OK...and that brings us to what, 180 times the answer to a question has been FILEDIA=1? The next person that asks gets a prize. What would you suggest?

That's the problem with both FILEDIA and PICKADD - what the heck are one suppose to search on??

I for one am glad that there's always questions around that I can answer of the top of my head- buffs my ego a bit :)
