JBS
I use AutoCAD 2016. Last week, I clicked on the A to open a file, and instead of explorer popping up, a window popped up on the screen where the mouse was with this: "ENTER NAME OF DRAWING TO OPEN:", and then the file extension of the drawing that I had open was in it. I can manually go to where my dwg's are and click on that to open it, and I can also manually type in the file extension where the dwg is, but any idea why this is happening? It's a pain. ReMark
Is FILEDIA set to a value of "1"?
JBS
Nope, that did it. Thank you!
rkmcswain
You can keep track of this in AutoCAD 2016 by adding FILEDIA to the system variable monitor. When it changes, it will alert you.
