F2 key does not work for command history

Do you have any idea why does not f2 work for command history?

 

F2 says enter variable name.

IIRC, the command line needs to be docked for F2 to make a new window. If it is not docked, the command line expands. Cannot test as I'm away from CAD ATM.

Try using Ctrl + F2, it is an alternate way to do it, which I did not know, but I also use 2013, and I went looking for it in the CUI.

Drag the command line picking left edge down to bottom left then let go it should auto dock.

With 2017 the text window will show whether the command line is docked or not. I would try the Ctrl+F2, and look in the CUI for the change.

Not with MEP 2017. Just tested and it behaves as I described above.
