fuccaro Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Y see you work in AutoCAD 2007 -but you still have the old tools for surfaces. I will try with EDGESURF first and my next try would be the 3DMESH command. See the help file for these commands. As an alternative: booth the curtain and the blanket can be modeled in something like 3D Studio and imported in AutoCAD. An other way: a lisp routine could generate the surface letting some random numbers to affect the positions of the vertexes. These advices are for people using AutoCAD up to 2006 -this is what I use. In the newer versions there are other ways I am not familiar with. Quote
rgarjr Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 I believe Loft and Edgesurf are your arsenal for making these types of things. Quote
lilrose Posted January 13, 2009 Author Posted January 13, 2009 Where can i get help files for those commands? Quote
JD Mather Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Where can i get help files for those commands? I would not use edgesurf, rulesurf and the like -there are more powerful surfacing commands in r2007 and later. Ive tried lofting which produces a solid bt i want a surface. If you Loft open profiles you will get surfaces rather than solids. You might want to go through the tutorials in my signature. Quote
