Make image of selected block (JPG) square image

Hello all,

Is it possible make a imagefile, of a block that i select?

I know about the JPGOUT command, but this makes a rectangular image of the whole screen.

I want a SQUARE image, of the block i select (Kinda like a thumbnail).

Is this possible with LISP?

The JPGOUT command takes the size of AutoCAD window.

Resize AutoCAD window, make a square, zoom in on object (block), run command JPGOUT.

If an approximate square image is good enough (which is what you will be doing with the resizing the AutoCAD window method cited above) try using the Windows 10 Snipping Tool (search Snipping Tool or drag it to your desktop from the menu under Windows Accessories). I think it would be faster and easier. For an exact square image use MS Paint or GIMP.

Hey Grrr,

I found the program and it works.

But it gives me a preview for a DCL?

I just want to save a JPG image somewhere, dont use any form of DCL. :-)

Use a screen grabber you can clip the area you want, for improved quality just make image larger. I use Gadwin.

Also Plot "plot to web jpg" allows a window select and its already there.

Thanks Marko looks like it uses snipping tool direct. Cuts out the steps to open snipping tool and do new. Your never to old to learn something new.
