ColinPearson Posted May 8, 2017 Posted May 8, 2017 Hey folks - this happens all the time, but usually REGEN or REGENALL, or AUDIT/PURGE/SAVE fixes it right up. I've got VIEWRES on 10,000 and HW.Accel turned on but this polyline does not appear to end at the arc, but since it was drawn to snap perpendicular to them, I know that it actually does. Is there something else I can do to help this display correctly? For reference, the small circle is 1/64" diam. Same monitor resolution as always as well. THANKS!! Quote
ReMark Posted May 8, 2017 Posted May 8, 2017 Why is this a "problem"? Does the drawing print correctly? Quote
ColinPearson Posted May 8, 2017 Author Posted May 8, 2017 I should say "annoyance" I guess. I know it's only a display thing but I've only rarely (maybe never) had it where REGEN doesn't fix it up. Not a huge problem, just wondering what others might do... the answer may well be "ignore it!" and I'm fine with that too! Quote
ReMark Posted May 8, 2017 Posted May 8, 2017 (edited) Well you could run right out and spend a mere $1400 on a new Ultra HD monitor like the HP DreamColor Z32X. The resolution is 3840x2160. Maybe that will get the end of the line a little bit closer to its true position. What's your credit card number? LoL One word of warning. Don't look at your bed sheets using an scanning electron microscope. You'll never get a restful night's sleep ever again. The closer you look the worst it gets. Edited May 8, 2017 by ReMark Quote

ReMark Posted May 8, 2017 Posted May 8, 2017 Lemme just PM you that CC number Guess it's best to not worry too much about that one! Great! Can I put a new nVidia Quadro K6000 (12GB GDDR5 GPU memory) on it too? It's only another $9,999.00. Quote
Dadgad Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 Lemme just PM you that CC number Guess it's best to not worry too much about that one! With full understanding, that it is an annoyance. As a woodworker of many years, when was the last time you saw a tape measure with units in the range of 1/512"? We get lulled by the incredible power of the software into expecting everything to be PERFECT (including super zoomed views), comes with the turf, such is our lot. Bottom line, as per ReMark's post, if it plots correctly, let it go. Before you race out and buy that new monitor, I was under the impression that only Autocad 2018 supported 4K display? Might be wrong. I use AUtocad 2013 on a 40" Full HD Toshiba television, and at that display size, I would really love to have four times the pixel density. Quote
BIGAL Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 Watching someone zoom scrolling to see the end point mismatch when they used osnap end Quote
ColinPearson Posted May 9, 2017 Author Posted May 9, 2017 ReMark, if you're gonna go overboard and order all that stuff, just please remember to order double and send me one of each! Dadgad - good point. In my head, I KNOW it's insignificant... I KNOW it was drawn with a snap... I KNOW that when I measure 0'-0" (eyeballing the "overlap" with snaps turned off of course) and then turn the precision to 1/256" on the dimension and still have 0 that it's 0 because it REALLY IS 0, and it still bugs me LOL! Oh well, since this post, I trimmed the circle anyway and now it looks like I think it should like and there is order back in my world anyway, so that's good! Quote
