2018 CAD Linetype Will Not Change

I am using 2018 AutoCad and can not get the linetype to change. I have never had this problem before and have tried everything I know how to do. I have tried changing the scale, changing it using layers, changing by single line, PSLTSCALE, everything I can think of. It is not change in model or paper space. I am trying to change continuous line to dotted. Thanks the help.

It could be lots of things like extrusion direction, visual style set to something other than 2D Wireframe, or an intelligent object. Is it all lines in a viewport or model space or just one line?

 

A line with a big difference in elevation could be a problem as well.

Thank you for getting back, it is any line, i just drew one line to see if it was something like that and it would not change either. Doesn't work in model of paper space. the only thing I am doing different than usual is using decimal units instead of architectural units.

how do I make sure it is in 2D Wireframe

Set linetype to dashed and ltscale 0.25 and have a look. How long is the line if you draw 10 it should appear. Using 2018 no probs.

That did work thank you very much. Any idea on how to get dimension text on the left right side of the arrow instead of the left.

Also how do you make the linetype the same in model and paper space?

Figured out that PSLTSCALE but still can not get dimension text to the right of the arrow.
