Hi Guys,

 

Im fairly new to CAD & would just like some generalisations.....

How would you guys describe the following in terms of the production of CAD drawings:

 

2D DRAWINGS

 

3D VIRTUAL MODELS

 

any help much appreciated

thank you for the link. But i was wonderin if anyone could give me a definition or describe 2D Drawings and 3D Virtual Models?

2D = flat. A drawing must include top, front and at least one side view. Isometric view and auxiliary views may be required for complex objects.

 

3D = not flat. The object is constructed in the X, Y and Z axis and can be viewed from any angle or direction.

:shock: OMG ReMark, you actually answered someone's homework question?!

 

Seriously though, I have this problem with interpreting meaning correctly in a lot of things, and so hearing other people's interpretation of a meaning usually helps me to understand what the rest of the "normal" world sees.

 

My interpretations aren't necessarily wrong, they just aren't mainstream I guess.

 

And yes, I have that problem with some things that are considered to only have one interpretation. But the doctors say I have nothing to worry about. :D
