tzframpton Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 P&ID is built on top of AutoCAD so you will still have what you're familiar with. P&ID is no walk in the park as it's very robust. Be ready to take a deep dive to use the P&ID tools on a moderate level. It also helps to be knowledgeable in the area of P&ID. -TZ Quote

Thank you Tzframpton, i understand that i can just draw piping diagram from regular auto cad, i thought autodesk has the autocad P&ID which included all the piping, valve, pumps symbols already. Quote
tzframpton Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 It certainly does have all those things. It's intuitive too. Maybe check out the trial first. Also, AutoCAD MEP has a great 2D piping schematic toolset that is very intuitive too. -TZ Quote

ReMark Posted July 25, 2017 Posted July 25, 2017 AutoCAD P&ID comes with a basic set of symbols but there is much that is missing. You can add to the library of symbols yourself or you can pay your authorized reseller to create custom content for you. Quote
