paddynel0 Posted August 1, 2017 Posted August 1, 2017 Hi there this is my first post. I am a welder / fabricator. my sister has asked me to make her a set of gates & am struggling to get the parts to the correct size, cant get the stretch feature to work properly. I have added a file of the dxf, basically i need to stretch the panel/part to 2120 mm wide x 1075 high. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Regards Paddy. tree centre small.DXF Quote
ReMark Posted August 1, 2017 Posted August 1, 2017 (edited) Scaled up, not stretched. There is a difference. This is what it would look like.... X scale factor = 1.91; Y scale factor = 1.054. I created a block of your original design then inserted it back into the drawing using the two scale factors listed. Here is a copy for you. It was saved in ACAD 2000 DXF file format. paddynel0 Posted August 1, 2017 Author Posted August 1, 2017 Not all hereos were capes. ReMark thanks for your help. The dxf is exactly what i need, however i am going to go back and try to make the changes myself using the scale option so i will know for again. You have a good sir. Quote
ReMark Posted August 1, 2017 Posted August 1, 2017 Thank you for your kind words. You are entirely welcomed. To be clear...first you use the Block command. Once the block is created you use the Insert command to insert it into your drawing. During the insertion process there should be an option to apply a X/Y scale. Normally we want them to be the same. However, in this case, we want them to be different. Quote
