wimal Posted August 15, 2017 Posted August 15, 2017 I have a tool palet instollation file with images . the file format type is .atc How can I import tool palet with this file. ( The uploading of this file not allowed by cadtutor system. Quote
Dana W Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 From what I can find, *.atc files are tool palette definition files. AutoCad creates them when a new tool palette is created by the user. The *.atc file is the result, not the cause. One cannot just open or import a random *.atc file. Quote

steven-g Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 If you need to transfer palettes between computers, then you need to export and then import using the palette customisation dialogue box this uses a file with the extension *.xtp as Dana W has pointed out the *.atc files are Autocad system files. SLW210 Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 Just add the folder location to Options>Files>Tool Palletes File Locations. If not from the same AutoCAD Version, they may not work correctly. Quote

Adeel Posted May 15 Posted May 15 Hi. I 've got a similar issue to yours. I've got the .atc files and want them into a tool palette that I'm creating in autocad however autocad only palette groups (.xtp) files to be imported and not .atc files. Did you find any solution to this issue? Quote

Did you find any solution to this issue? AutoCAD doesn’t support direct import of .ATC files into tool palettes. Instead, open the original palette containing the .ATC content, then manually drag and drop the tools into your custom palette. Unfortunately, converting .ATC to .XTP isn’t supported, so manual setup is currently the best workaround. Edited June 3 by GraysonFletcher Quote
