Lee Mac Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 Hi Guys, Was just wondering if someone could provide me with an explanation of the system behind the "car" "cadr" "cdr" etc etc. Only reason I ask, is that I have recently seen "cdadr" in a LISP and can't find any help item on it. Thanks Lee Quote

In addition to the other link, this is covered in the developers guide. AutoLISP Developer's Guide > Using the AutoLISP Language > AutoLISP Basics > List Handling > Point Lists Quote
Lee Mac Posted January 21, 2009 Author Posted January 21, 2009 Larry - that link is awesome! Exactly what I was looking for - thanks for the quick response And thank you also McSwain - I tried double clicking on "cdadr" in the vlide, and nothing appeared in the help when I did that - so I assumed that there was nothing on it. But thanks for the extra information and clarification Cheers guys, Lee Quote
David Bethel Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 Another good reference is George Omura's ABC's of AutoLISP: http://klobouk.fsv.cvut.cz/~chour/Lisp/Chapter%201.htm -David Quote

This happens a lot. I am more familiar with the printed developers guide and I remember a lot of things from there that aren't always obvious in the CHM version. Quote
