rich254
Hi, I'm looking for some help with a process and hoping there might be a LISP around that might help me achieve it! Essentially on a topo survey I am reflectorlessly laser shooting trees from a survey station, on the drawing my nodes are then central to the trunk and I need to move them to the edge of the trunk circle. So I am looking to have multiple objects at once move a set distance directly away from a specific point. I have attached images showing my current process, but needless to say it can be very tedious when there are a lot of objects. I draw a line from the station point to the center of each trunk/node, then move the trunk along the line until the edge of the trunk circle intersects the line. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
eldon
Can you not add a target constant offset to all those reflectorless shots? Then you would be measuring to the centre all the time.
BIGAL
Agree with Eldon I watch our guys they do a side shot to get distance then you shoot centre. Quick way is a dynamic block with spread and trunk as independant variables, this way you can do a centroid to instrument distance move very easy. Have a look at this it was done for a double coded survey point 2.0T3.5S etc It would be best to start with the point coding as a start point. So post a data file and a matching dwg, how did you create the trees in 1st place using what software ? treedyn.dwg
dlanorh
Without knowing any bole details (girth or radius/diameter) and whether this is a block, two blocks (bole and spread) or a circle and polyline; it's not possible to code a lisp to do this. If you supply these details it a simple operation. Edited December 4, 2018 by dlanorh
BIGAL
Sorry Dlanorh it is possible read my post again about using a dynamic block. Use it every day.
