MJLM Posted February 14, 2019 Posted February 14, 2019 Not very familiar with paperspace viewports. I do know however how to set up them and I understand how to break my large drawing in multiple viewports, one continuing to the next and so on. However, this principle works in 2D and my model is actually a 3d and spans couple of floors. I would like to avoid splitting my model and keep it as generic and editing for any changes just once per time. What would be the most efficient way to create viewports in paperspace not only on xy plane rather on z as well, meaning to show only a specific elevation plan view without above or below info. Quote
ReMark Posted February 14, 2019 Posted February 14, 2019 Paperspace viewports can indeed display 3D models. Users can elect to display standard views (ex. - front, side, back, tec.) and/or standard isometric views (ex. NE, SE, SW & SE). Or they can use non-standard isometric views if they so desire. As far as displaying only certain portions of a 3D model one would have to make use of clipping planes. Quote
MJLM Posted February 14, 2019 Author Posted February 14, 2019 Could you elaborate a bit more on that last one? What command do I use for clipping planes? Quote
ReMark Posted February 14, 2019 Posted February 14, 2019 You'll want to investigate the use of the 3DCLIP command. Quote
