ILoveMadoka
I know at one point the PDFMaker went away. It looks like it is back but I don't know how to get it into Autocad 2019. We are having some issues printing to PDF without it. (ie: Inconsistency between users with the same settings, etc.) According to this page; PDFMaker-compatible applications PDFMaker is available for Autocad 2019 if you have Acrobat 2017 or Acrobat DC. I loved this app years ago and was hoping to use it again. I have Adobe Acrobat 2017 Pro and Autocad 2019. I've done a repair of Acrobat but do not have an entry for PDFMaker in Autocad. When I look in the Adobe folder under PDFMaker, I only see entries for 2013-2015-2015. Can someone tell me how to get PDFMaker into Autocad 2019? Also, PDFMaker will create PDF files with searchable text when .shx files are used. I have made sure that the PDFSHX/EPDFSHX variables are set to 1. PDF files created via PUBLISH using PDF from Autocad 2019 are not searchable. Help please!! Thx Edited March 21, 2019 by ILoveMadoka

I found this: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/creating-pdfs-pdfmaker-windows.html Scroll halfway down to find Autocad Creating the PDF from inside Acrobat works (have been trying to create searchable PDF files) but I can't see how to make the PDF monochrome. ILoveMadoka
Just reinstalled Adobe Acrobat Pro. Still not working. If I look here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 2017\PDFMaker\AutoCAD I only have folders for 2013/204/2015 and they will not load in ACAD 2019. Documentation says you can create searchable PDFs using .shx files but I've tried and tried with no luck. I have made sure that the PDFSHX/EPDFSHX variables are set to 1. Set to 0 and back and forth. PDF files created from Autocad 2019 are not searchable using .shx files. If I use TTF (ie: Arial) completely searchable. We are required by contract to use ROMANS. Can Autocad use the romans.ttf loaded in the \Windows directory? Could some explain "how" if so? Please help! ps: Just want to reiterate, We are not allowed to use ARIAL
ILoveMadoka
I have made *some* progress on this front and am having pretty good success creating searchable PDF files from Autocad.. In Acrobat Pro DC Options/Preferences When I map these paths I am finding 90% success in Autocad 2020 creating Searchable PDF Files. Hope it can help someone else.
