ramsay Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Anyone know where the setting is in solidworks for when you can get a reflection of a part / model ? Quote
shift1313 Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 if you are using and not modifying materials or environments, certain things will already have them like polished metal. If you are playing around with materials then there will be an advance tab where you can change certain properties. sorry im not at a comp with SW at the moment. Quote
ramsay Posted January 23, 2009 Author Posted January 23, 2009 looking for this mirror effect when you are drawing or in assembly Quote
shift1313 Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 oh so not in a render but in the modeling environment, i see. i think you have to load the photoworks add on if you havent already. and you can go on the photoworks menu up top and choose scene. some of the ground planes are reflective. i think this may be what you are after. what version are you using? cedar Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 I only know how to turn OFF stuff like that. Quote
ramsay Posted January 23, 2009 Author Posted January 23, 2009 using 2009 shift i have seen it used even when u draw up a 3d part but i cant find it anywhere in the settings. Quote
shift1313 Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 everything i post has been rendered. go to your tools menu and down to add ins. Do you have photoworks on the add ins list? I think you need to be in this. Photoworks is the rendering stuff inside SW. Sorry i wont be at a comp with SW again until monday Quote
