constant message: external reference files have changed - even if they have not

Hello,

 

I keep on getting this error message in object each time I open the same DWG, no matter all my purges, mapclean, overkill, save. Whenever I open, I get the same message.

 I was suggested to right click on the  ! and reload all, I did, but I keep on getting the same message....

Any idea?

I used to see this error sometimes, but now I always clean files before I attach them to my drawing. Especially when receiving files from someone else. I open the file, go to Model space, make sure the UCS is set to World and then WBlock out to a new drawing using the "Entire Drawing" option.

 

I also don't allow nested xrefs. I always make sure to detach any xrefs that may be attached to the xref I'm loading into my drawing. If I need those nested xrefs I will load them directly, after I clean them of course.
