deeJay Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 Lets say that i have 20 drawings in a set and i what to give each sheet a page no. is there a way to do this automatically via a lisp routine or a command in autocad. what about sheet sets? Quote
MaxwellEdison Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 The easy way would be to use sheet numbers as your layout name and insert a field into your titleblock to display that value. If you wanted the layout name to also show in the titleblock as a drawing name however...it gets a bit trickier. Quote
rkent Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 Sheet Set Manager can do this for you, it won't be a push of a button easy, especially for an existing set of drawings. Set up a custom property with the owner being the sheet. Now go into each drawing (or template if setting up) and add a field, using the currentsheetcustom choice, use the drop down to find your custom property name. You will have to edit the property for each sheet in the SSM, 1 - 20. You can set up a total number so you can have DWG 1 of 20 and have the 20 already in there as well. Use the same procedure as above but the owner will be the sheetset. If you need more details let us know. Quote

Did you also do this part? ==> "Now go into each drawing (or template if setting up) and add a field, using the currentsheetcustom choice, use the drop down to find your custom property name." Place the field in / on your title block where you want it, on a plotting layer. Quote
