Hello guys,

I just started to plan on AutoCAD and I just realized that everything is in feet.

Is there any possibility to change the units and everything into meters? It makes it easier to work with bec. I grew up with meters ;)

Hope somebody can help me. thanks

You could scale everything by 0.3048 (which is the number of meters per feet)

And Daniel, welcome to the forums!

My, that was easy!

It shouldn't really be in feet and inches - you need to check your settings

Is it an actual drawing that's in feet and inches or just your dimensions when you come to add those?

go into Format > Units and change your units there to meters or millimeters as well.

Or just type in units on the command bar.

If you haven't got too far yet - restart the drawing in metric mode. If you have gotten a fair way into the drawing, you can copy / paste it into a new drawing and then scale it from the imperial to metric system.

Finally - if you are more concerned about having both metric and imperial showing on the drawing, go into the dimensions control panel (D from the command line) and turn on the "alternative units".
