toddlnrd Posted November 1, 2019 Posted November 1, 2019 I am working on a major project due today and I noticed that objects are missing that I know I put there. I even opened another drawing and all the objects show up. When I copy/paste into my dwg, those objects disappear! Please help, Project is due in a few hours!! Todd Quote
Cad64 Posted November 1, 2019 Posted November 1, 2019 That's a bold move, putting your phone number on a public forum. You might want to edit your post and remove it. As for your issue, are all your layers turned on? Quote
toddlnrd Posted November 1, 2019 Author Posted November 1, 2019 You are probably right about my number. Yes, all the layers are on. I am a self taught CAD guy. Been doing it 20+ years, but I am in no way an expert. I have tried all I know to do, including turning on and unfreezing all layers. Quote
SLW210 Posted November 1, 2019 Posted November 1, 2019 Make sure the color is not the same as the background. Can you post the .dwg? Quote
steven-g Posted November 1, 2019 Posted November 1, 2019 Layer or object colors spring to mind, or are your objects 'blocks' that you are copying from another drawing, if that is the case it could be a block naming issue. Quote
toddlnrd Posted November 1, 2019 Author Posted November 1, 2019 They are blocks! How would I remedy this issue? Quote
Cad64 Posted November 1, 2019 Posted November 1, 2019 Do you see any messages at the command prompt when you paste the blocks. Any error messages? Have you tried running an Audit on the drawings that you are copying from and pasting into? If there are database errors in the files, that could cause issues with copy and paste. I have hidden the post with your phone number. Quote
RobDraw Posted November 1, 2019 Posted November 1, 2019 End all questions and post a portion of the drawing exhibiting the behavior. Quote
toddlnrd Posted November 1, 2019 Author Posted November 1, 2019 Thank everyone for your input. I was able to work around my problem and make it work. I still don't know what happened. I tried an audit and fixed over 1000 objects. Quote
