Jim Clayton Posted February 27, 2020 Posted February 27, 2020 Hey everyone. I'm trying to build a Dynamic Block that is comprised of other Dynamic Blocks. I've never done this before and having a hard time finding a straight answer as to whether or not it's even possible. The goal is to have one Super Ultra Mega Dynamic Block that can be inserted, and from that I can go thru the varying points of it and make changes, ie; select pipe size, flange size, change tags, etc. Thanks for the help. Aftertouch Posted February 27, 2020 Posted February 27, 2020 A block in a block wont wont with the dynamics. What you can do, is make various 'Visibility States' and assign synmics to each state. Quote
steven-g Posted February 27, 2020 Posted February 27, 2020 Sounds like you want a properties table which can combine various dynamic parameters into a simple table, it's just not simple to explain . But no you cannot nest dynamic blocks and access the 'inner' blocks dynamic properties. Quote
Dana W Posted February 27, 2020 Posted February 27, 2020 Without exploding to the nested level. Quote
Jim Clayton Posted February 27, 2020 Author Posted February 27, 2020 Think i'm following everything you're all saying. Time for some experiments. Thanks for the help. Quote
