I have a simple dynamic block which represents a brick window cill. What I'd like to do is to do is show vertical lines spaces 75mm apart from the center of the cill as the block is stretched out. Getting the initial vertical line to be central is ok as I can change the multiplying factor of the the stretch action to 0.5 but as the array action doesn't have a multiplying factor option it produces too may lines . Any suggestions on how to do this?

There is a civ3D example dwg its is to do with car parks but has dynamic block for carpark lines at a fixed spacing between 2 points. Maybe a good starting point. Sorry on my other laptop will try to find.

Without looking too closely at your file, if it is only a visual representation then just use an associative hatch, specify the origin as the centre point of the rectangle and when you stretch the rectangle the hatch automatically will fill the area. The only thing you need to do is find a vertical hatch and set the scale to give the correct 'joint' spacing.

I do that with an associative hatch and scale it to match.

Thanks for the help. I've now got it working with associative hatch.

Should have thought about that can use like ansi31 or make your own just change the spacing to what you want ie 3.175

*ANSI31,ANSI Iron, Brick, Stone masonry
45, 0, 0, 0, 3.175
