Custom Linetype, Block or something else?

Hi All,

 

I'm creating some blocks to make up a suite that shows compliance with a standard we have to work to.

I'm wondering which way would be best to achieve the image below. Essentially I'd like the user to be able to draw the middle polyline and then the linetype or some sort of dynamic block will give a 375mm offset each side and hatch the region in between the two outer lines, and potentially add a preset dimension? 

 

 

I think I may be being optimistic to achieve this with a custom linetype but I do think a dynamic block would work, possibly.

 

What does everyone think?

A linetype would make a mess as the "hatch" lines would change angle with the line and overlap.

 

Options 2 is better.
