resullins
Made a dynamic block for power (attached) and I went back in to make it annotative, and it won't let me. Every time I try, I pick the YES option on the annotative drop down, and it immediately flips back to NO. I've WBLOCKed the whole thing out and tried again, and it still doesn't work. What am I missing? _PM POWER.dwg
steven-g
A little difficult to explain, but the problem is the method you are using to save your block. You are saving the block as a dwg file to be inserted into future drawings, but that isn't a block definition. If you insert your block into a new drawing, then open that block in the 'block editor' then you can make it annotative, because the block definition is in that drawing file. Your method means that when you try to open the block dwg you are informed that the file contains authoring elements and do you want to open it in the block editor, which is correct but it is a dwg file with authoring elements and not a block in itself. Very difficult to explain??? Maybe someone else can describe this better.
