uddfl Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 Command VPORTS? And welcome to the forum! Quote
Grigs Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 MVIEW is the command to create a model window in paperspace. Once you have that, highlight the window and goto it's properties. You will be able to change the scale of that window there. And if you don't want the window to plot, put it on the DEFPOINTS layer. Quote
wannabe Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 Or drop down the view menu, click viewports and select new. Quote
shelbyscarab Posted February 5, 2009 Author Posted February 5, 2009 Sorry that did not work. Any directions are going to need to be elementary. I have never used paper space or viewports before. Meaning, do I need to be in model space to start these actions or paperspace? Quote

EMS_0525 Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 The F1 key is your friend.... go into help and search for creating layouts. It will be a big help, you can print it out and follow the steps. Quote

Watch the command line for options. Check out HELP to better understand the options (F1 key) I do suggest you create a VIEWPORT layer and set it to not plot. This is much better than using the defpoints layer. Defpoints is used by autocad functions and should never be used bu the user. Quote
