kc27315 Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 In Civil 3d I have an existing surface and an alignment from which I created an existing profile. My alignment goes from 0+00 to 10+00. Suppose I want the existing profile to show up only from 0+00 to 5+00 and from 7+00 to 10+00. Is there a way to have the existing profile not show up between 5+00 and 7+00? Thanks, kc Quote
rustysilo Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 When you create the profile from surface it allows you to set the stations. I don't think you can change this after the fact. I would get rid of the profile you have if you don't want it the full range of stationing. Then I would create a new profile from surface and specify from 0 to 5. Then create another separate profile from 7 to 10. When you create your profile view add both of these profiles to it and it should work, although I didn't test. Post the results. Quote
rustysilo Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 Just tested it out. Works nicely. I do notice however that if your vertical grid is clipped it will clip at the surface profile in between the two profiles even though there is no profile actually showing up. Quote
kc27315 Posted February 5, 2009 Author Posted February 5, 2009 Wow! Works wonderfully. Thank you so much. At first I thought I was going to have to create two seperate alignments or something. But one worked just fine. Thanks again. kc Quote
