3D CAD Building Import to Revit

Hi all,

I posted in the CAD community but unfortunately, no one could help.

I have a really awkward and crude 3D CAD model of a fictitious building for a Uni assignment. We are tasked with designing the MEP services within the building and only need to produce 2D drawings.

Originally, I was trying to get some 2D layouts of the building in model space in CAD that I could then draw or import into Revit as a 2D layout to no avail.

I know importing CAD files is also awkward as they appear as a solid block and does not work with levels/view ranges.

Would anyone here be able to help? It would be great if I could get it as a model, but I only need to produce 2D outputs. I would just rather use Revit so I can use my families and schedules etc.

We Transfer to the file below.

Thanks.
