rustysilo Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 They are different products. Map is geared towards GIS and has been around since the mid 90s. Land Development Deskop (later Land Desktop) was the civil/survey product used from the mid/late 90s and in 2004 Civil 3d was released. Civil 3d was to be the replacement product for Land Desktop and this year it is. Land Desktop is going bye bye. Map comes with (and always has) the purchase of Land Desktop as well as Civil 3d. Land Desktop comes with the purchase of Civil 3d, but is referred to as the Land Desktop Companion even though it is the same product that it was if bought separately as Land Desktop. Quote
