Ohnoto Posted July 26, 2021 Posted July 26, 2021 Good morning, I've noticed an issue when copying between two drawings that dynamic blocks are resetting to the first visibility. I've done searching for this issue and found several posts about the topic and the fixes from those drawings don't appear to apply here. The drawing is a company CAD template that has the same block definitions, units setup, etc. I've audited and purged and the issue still remains. In our current template we have blocks that are setup for building elevation view. When I copy those from one new template file to another of the same template file, it changes it to the first visibility, that is the plan view. We've been using this template for about 2 years now without any issue noticed until recently. This is applying to all the blocks in the drawing file, which is making me wonder if there is a deep AutoCAD setting that might need to be adjusted. I'm using AutoCAD 2020. Quote
BIGAL Posted July 27, 2021 Posted July 27, 2021 If no one finds a variable it is possible to reset dynamic block visibility by lisp etc. Quote
Ohnoto Posted July 27, 2021 Author Posted July 27, 2021 We have other visibility options than just elevation / plan view. That was an example. Another example being Supply Diffuser vs Return Diffuser. So, when copying from one drawing to another, those are going to the first visibility of the block (Supply) even though there are Returns.
